Top 100 books

The Christian literary journal Image has put out a list of the top 100 books of the 20th century. Thought you guys might like to see it and get some ideas for the club, or for reading just to do on our own, or whatever!

Interesting choice for Lewis. I've always loved Till We Have Faces, but it's not usually chosen as one of his best works. However, it's always nice to see it appreciated.

Hmm . . . I'll have to send you my 20-page paper on one of the religious themes in "LOTR." :-) Just kidding -- I wouldn't inflict that on you. But they're there; you just have to dig for them.

The main thing a list like this does for me is, as you say, remind me of books I haven't read yet but want to read. ("Canticle" is on my list, too.) Speaking of which, did I tell you I'm finally reading "Hitchhiker's Guide"? I'm not very far into it yet, but so far so good!

Sorry, I shouldn't have said "Canticle" was "on my list, too." Since you've already read it, it's obviously not on your list anymore! :-) How did you like it?
